The Munch’s Birthday

Lexi turned 4 about a month ago and we had the best possible birthday for most four year old girls.  A Princess party.  Princess Princess Princess oh my.  She is aaaall about Princesses these days, mostly of the Disney variety and usually only Rapunzel but since Rapunzel was “busy” on the day of her birthday party, Sleeping Beauty came instead. Lexi was just as happy.

So of course, she had to have a princess cake.  So of course, she got one.

I had never done a Barbie cake before, but I found a video on You Tube, and I tell you, it was sooooo easy.  One of the easiest cakes I’ve ever decorated because it’s ONE COLOR!  That’s huge.  And minimal piping too.  And Lexi put the sprinkles on so she felt that she actually helped make her cake!  It was really fun.

Here’s the instruction video:

Wilton has a good option if you’re looking for a way to make a princess cake even easier.  It’s called the Classic Wonder Mold and it has everything you need, including the doll.  After the princess cake, you can use it to make tons of other cool cakes.  You can find it at the Bakeify store here.

If you’re thinking she just makes it look easy, well, don’t be fooled.  It IS easy!  You should try it yourself.  The princess in your life will be so happy you did!!
